For professionals who dictate, Transcribe-It provides secure, toll-free phone-in dictation and automatic upload of digital files. We take our clients dictation and convert it into letters, notes and memos, giving our clients the opportunity to focus on serving their clients.
Our clients can send their tapes and CDs directly to our office. If the tapes or CDs are hard to hear, we will send it to be enhanced (with our clients permission) to our system engineers to enhance the audio quality to ensure a better transcript. Once transcribed, the transcript will be emailed and the tapes or CDs returned via regular mail or overnight at our clients request and cost.
Digital
With the revolution of new technology, transcription is also evolving and that next step is Digital. We at Transcribe-It, Inc. are preparing to join the digital revolution. Digital Transcription is a less expensive and a faster way of having work returned to our client quicker. We can transcribe dictation from anywhere in the world. Sending cassette tapes is becoming a thing of the past. Once our client dictates into a digital recorder, they then simply download the sound file to their computer and email it directly to our office. We will type it and email it right back. That’s how simple it is.
You may wonder what are the benefits…well here they are:
• No tapes to mail or send via courier saves you money.
• Sending dictation via email can be done from anywhere.
• And let’s not forget that the quality of a digital recorder is far
superior to cassettes.
We are introducing you to a new concept. It’s not to say we will not take cassettes or CD’s; we are happy to accommodate all our clients’ preferences.
In order to take part in our digital service you simply need to have a digital recorder.

Recording Equipment
There are various options to choose from when looking for recording equipment. A few of those options may include:
Digital Recorder: A handheld device that the user can take on the road or use in the office. Prices may range anywhere from $70-$400 depending on the item. Most digital recorders will come with a USB cable that will connect to a computer. From there, one can upload the files then send them to us for transcription. One can find these and many other handheld recorders at http://www.startstop.com.
Desktop Recording Unit: A device that includes a microphone, and is connected to a computer at all times. One dictates into it using the microphone then automatically sends the files to a network, email address or FTP site. This system benefits those who do not record outside the office, or who need near-instant transfer to us without having to dock the recorder into its cable or cradle, or for those who are looking for something similar to an older style recording system. Prices can range from $250-$300.
Call-in System: You can pick up the phone, call us, and begin dictating while using prompts to review and edit. The files are automatically sent to a specified path, whether it’s a network, FTP site, or email address. Prices on this type of equipment can range from about $800 into the thousands--depending on how many users/phone lines are needed. Once one finishes dictating, the files are sent to us.
